How to Apply

All first-year applications for students who wish to study at Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT), must be submitted through the Central Applications Office (CAO) online at www.cao.ac.za.

2. Fill in the application form.
3. Track your application online with your CAO number, or contact the CAO via email at enquiries@cao.ac.za or call +27 268 4444.

Important Note: MUT prioritises those students who meet admission requirements for the particular courses and have made MUT their first choice on the CAO system.

Minimum Subject Requirements

Each programme requires a minimum of 25 points on the admission score, with additional departmental screenings:

• Faculty of Management Sciences: English, Mathematics, Accounting (50% and above).
• Faculty of Engineering: English, Mathematics, Physical Science (50% and above).
• Faculty of Applied and Health Sciences: English, Mathematics, Physical Science, Agricultural Science, Life Sciences (50% and above).
